Chapter Two

"Wanna trade?"
I grinned at you, offering you my rainbow sour strips. I knew you loved them.
You raised your eyebrows at me, a smirk crossing your face. "Nah."
I pouted, dangling one in front of your face. "C'mon, just one peice of liquorice?"
You eyed the rainbow sour strip, then handed me my prize - a single peice of apple liquorice.
With a grin I sat there chewing it slowly, looking at you from the corner of my eye. You had recently dyed your hair black, with random streaks of purple, green and pink, which infuriated the principal. You glanced over to your twin, who was laughing with three kids I didn't know well.
"Go talk to her."
"Nah, she'll just tell me to come over here and screw you some more."
I laughed. You had always had a good sense of humour. "No, I'm serious. C'mon."
I grabbed your hand and hauled you up. You rolled your eyes as I dragged you over to Iscah.
"Issy!" I called, sitting down. "How are you?"
She raised her eyebrows at me, her entire face cold. "Fine."
I could always tell your sister didn't like me. She thought I wasn't good enough for you, that I was the reason you went 'bad'.
"I'm Jerah," I said with a smile to the three kids, a girl and two boys, sitting with Iscah.
"Oh we know, beleive me," The girl rolled her eyes with a smirk. "I'm Anuska."
Anuska was blonde, blue-eyed, and pale-skinned, quite pretty really.
"Nice to meet you."
She rolled her eyes at me. "I bet it is."
You frowned at her before turning to your twin. "Is mum home tonight?"
Iscah stared at you. "If you're going out again, I'm not lying this time."
"Please?" You stared at her pleadingly.
"Who are you going with?"
"Jerah, Carlie, Jacinta, Dean, Anthony, Jordie. The usual crowd."
"And where are you going?"
You shifted uncomfortably. "The movies?" You suggested.
Iscah rolled her eyes, and one of the boys laughed. "I wonder what film will be on tonight?"
The other boy muttered something in his ear that sounded vaguely like 'porn'. The two cracked up while Anuska whacked them both over the head with a book.
"Sorry, James and Abel are feeling like being assholes today."
I grinned, looking down at you. You were staring at the ground ashamedly, trying to avoid Iscah's stare.
